Fultzie and I stumble upon a “camp” of multiple tents while wandering around close to the airport. We almost missed it as we went to fill our canteens at a nearby lake, but Fultzie spotted it out of the corner of his eye. In Day Z, tents are used to store extra gear. Players use them as a place to stash stuff while they go on raids. Unless you have someone stay behind and guard it, they are ripe for the picking for anyone that stumbles upon them. I’ve heard rumors of people paying Chinese “Gold Farmers” to watch over their tents, but if the rumor is true it’s definitely not the norm. When placing a tent you want to find a good hiding spot that only you know about. That was a mistake the people that placed the campsite didn’t do. We walked away with multiple auto injectors, which are rare and very valuable as they fix broken legs. We also walked away with all the bandages we could ever need. They had a varied collection of other materials from ammo and to water, but we really didn’t need it, so he left it. After running off into the nearby forest it donned on me that we should have cleared their tents of all the inventory, and dumped it all into the nearby lake. The thought of ravaging someone’s campsite in such a devious manner made us both chuckle, though perhaps another time. Check out quick video we made right before we pealed out.
